About Us Membership
We would be delighted if, as a researcher in the digital humanities, you would like to continue your membership of the HCDH or join as a new member. The HCDH is set to grow further, and we need you as part of our research community.
As a member, you will be part of the General Assembly, which elects the Executive Board and makes strategic decisions on the organisation’s direction. You will also have access to the working groups based at the HCDH and – subject to approval – to the IWR’s computational resources. We keep our members regularly informed about events and offer opportunities to participate actively in our research, teaching and knowledge transfer activities.

The HCDH has revised its membership rules with effect from 2025. Membership is open to anyone who is either affiliated with one of the HCDH’s service partners (UB, URZ, RDU, SSC) or who is currently undertaking or planning a DH-related research project. Applications for membership should be addressed to the Executive Board.
The General Meeting decides on the admission of new members following a recommendation from the Executive Board. Candidates must give a brief presentation of themselves and their project to the General Meeting. In the case of applications from individuals who have previously been members, the brief presentation is not required and the Executive Board decides directly on the renewal of their membership.
If you would like to become a member or remain a member, please send a written application for membership to the secretariat.
