HCDH Research

Since 2022, the HCDH has been conducting research on digital and computational methods in the humanities. Its research focuses on digital linguistics, digital heritage, and computational humanities (AI/machine learning).

We work closely with various institutes and service units at Heidelberg University, bring together teaching and continuing education in the “Certificate for Advanced Studies in Digital Humanities,” and are actively involved in the field of digital and AI literacy.

Project Archive

Activities in the field of digital humanities have a long history in Heidelberg, dating back well before the founding of the HCDH. For this reason, it was decided—in close cooperation with the University Library and under its guidance—to create a project directory that documents the majority of past and current DH projects across the entire spectrum of possible disciplines and topics.
