Events AI in Application

Generative AI is revolutionising education systems worldwide. The potential of large language models to support personalised learning is enormous, as are the risks they pose. And yet this development is still in its infancy – and the next generation of GPT assistants is already in the starting blocks!

Rather than engaging in abstract and speculative debate, we want to take a practical approach. For this reason, the Heidelberg School of Education (HSE) and the Heidelberg Centre for Digital Humanities (HCDH) have joined forces with researchers and lecturers from Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg University of Education to develop and test use cases for AI in higher education (with a focus, amongst other things, on teacher training). To this end, events will be held to address fundamental questions at an introductory level, as well as practical, hands-on workshops; invitations to these will be sent out separately, and they will have a distinctly workshop-based character. Experts will be invited to specific events to discuss particular topics in depth. To ensure productive working conditions, the number of participants is expected to be limited to a maximum of 25 for practical workshops and up to 50 for topic-centred events.
